A scene of live broadcasting from the stage of the 2011 Super Girls finale

We’ve always banked on the idea that even though some of China’s current popular productions are still rather behind, the popularity of the artists will induce increased talented and funding for other areas of entertainment. Super Girls 2011 is definitely an example of that. Of course, I love the girls, but what really caught my eye were the visuals. The visual team of the “13 angry hunks”, made the entire show a visual splendor, from short clips to backgrounds.

The last two episodes, especially, included amazing visuals like 3D projections on stage. Watch the stage effects that made me watch the videos over and over again, even though they may not be the girls’ best performances, below. Don’t forget to watch them in HD!

Qi Wei and Xu Zhengxi plays the adorable second couple of Love Waking Up

While Love Waking Up is no doubt watched for its leads Tang Yan and Roy Qiu who shot to fame as a couple in My Daughter, Love Waking Up was even more successful in making fans of their second leads – the handsome and considerate superstar played by Xu Zhengxi and the seemingly fierce but actually cute and sweet businesswoman played by Qi Wei.

If you haven’t yet, don’t miss this cute drama (I promise, it gets less ditzy after the first few eps) by watching the series legally on Tudou here.  Watch a cute segment of Qi Wei and Xu Zhengxi below.

Fu Xinbo wondering why he hasn't had any good photoshoots since LAST YEAR.

Singer Fu Xinbo 付辛博 released his fast MV from new company Golden Typhoon, and it’s quite obviously from Golden Typhoon. The new MV, Snook, is really his first fasttrack MV with dancing. He looks good, but I’ve never been too much of a fan of Golden Typhoon’s fast song MV’s (sorry, Show Luo).

This MV was released a while ago and I’ve never had the time to put it up, but I felt like it is important in Fu Xinbo’s career since it’s the type of MV’s he has always wanted. Watch it below from fountainpark723@YouTube

Vision Wei Chen Daybreak cover

Following the fastbeat Daybreak, Wei Chen 魏晨 released his second MV for his new album. “Goodbye Goodbye” is a ballad with rap parts written by Wei Chen himself. The “Heartsore Story” cover shows his voice much better than most.

Both high-level managers from Korea’s CJ E&M and the head of eeMedia were present at the press conference for his new album, showing how much Wei Chen’s status in the company has grown since his last album. It’s no doubt, then, that this MV is one of Wei Chen’s best solo MV’s so far, and definitely better than anything eeMedia’s previous Korean partner, DoReMi (Top Combine MV’s) could come up with.
