Weibo of the day: Allen Su and Zhang Yuan’s divorce woes

November 17, 2011 | Posted in Mainland China,weibo, Tagged ,

A "divorce" certificate for Su Xing and Zhang Yuan found in Su Xing's room.

Allen Su Xing:  Cleaned my room today, it’s very clean and neat. Feeling productive .   People are selfish and greedy, hoarding stuff that they haven’t used for months, but feels bad about throwing them away.  Thus, the enlightening part of this process is that at the right time, you need to learn to let go.  Let go of what’s not needed, and leave only the important part.  P.S. at the end of going through all the boxes, I found these that fit the situation perfectly.  If you don’t need something, don’t keep it.  If a relationship is not fitting, don’t compromise.
Top Combine’s Zhang Yuan:   Don’t pretend !!! You are more sad about it …  watch some soap operas …
Allen Su: Then you’re not sad enough about it.

Allen Su Xing and Sun Xiaoxiao

Just friends? Su Xing and Sun Xiaoxiao openly declare their friendship, but denies possibilities for dating.

‘You’re the only one who can make me smile when I’m unhappy.’ I smiled, too, when I received that message
‘There’s a type of person with the compatibility of lovers, but are not lovers. That’s not a regret, because friends can be forever, but lovers may not be,’ she said.
So can we just love, and not lust?”            – Allen Su’s weibo

To pay tribute to one of his best friends, Singer- composer Allen Su wrote the song “Just Friends 只谈心 不贪心” for host and actress Sun Xiaoxiao in his new album. Although there have been many rumors of the two dating, neither have been afraid to show how close their friendship is.   Su Xing calls her his 红颜知己, a female soulmate. The two has said, though, the only possible way they’ll get together if their parents pressed for marriage.
Recently, the two also teamed up for a cute MV for the song on their friendship. Watch it below from fountainpark723.

Su Xing Split for new Hip-Hop and RnB album

May 31, 2011 | Posted in Mainland China,Music, Tagged

Su Xing returns in the Present Tense with even more of his own music.

In perhaps a realm of explosion by finally doing his dream music of hip-hop and RnB, Allen Su Xing releases his second self-composed album, Present Tense.

Previously forced to sing more soft, lovey-dovey songs, it’s obvious that Su Xing injected even more of his own thoughts into the music in this album, with songs like Split, Not Your Idol 非偶像 and I’m still singing 我还在唱歌.  The album also includes some more traditional pop songs like Afraid to Love 怕爱, Party Queen, and If Love is Wrong 假如爱是一种错, By your side 身旁 and Soulmates, not lovers 只谈心不贪心.

Split, the first MV released for the album, follows the inner struggle of an artist caught between the music he wants to make and the music he’s told to make. In both the song and the MV, Su Xing is split into two opposing voices as they argue it out. A few excerpts from the lyrics and the MV below.

“No, no your music like this won’t have any market.”
“Without dreams and goals, this is ridiculous.
I’ll continue to write and compose my own songs, do my favorite Hip-hop RnB.”
“Wake Up, that’s only what foreigners sing, all you can do is add a few ABCD.”
“These rules are ludicrous. It’s time for you to get up and fight.
Show them that just doing your music is enough.”

Allen Su Xing and Li Fei’er dances “We Got Married”

Su Xing and Li Fei'er dances to marriage.

Su Xing proposed to Li Fei’er not once, but at least twice last week.

The singer and the actress not only performed a lovely “We Got Married” themed dance for Strictly Come Dancing, but perhaps just as sweet was the surprise proposal Su Xing gave her at a romantic dinner. Still with her hair wet and messy, Li Fei’er was touched to tears by a romantic dinner at a restaurant filled with their pictures followed by a song, flowers and a proposal.

See them being way too cute below:

Celebrity dance show continues to twirl in its 3rd season

Actress Tong Liya and singer Li Wei will pair up this week for a dance

Celebrity dance competition Strictly Come Dancing (舞动奇迹) returns to Hunan TV after three years. This year, Hunan TV has opted for a more up and coming star cast rather than a mix of Hunan and TVB artist. The variety including acting talents like Palace’s Tong Liya and Fall in Love’s Jiang Kaitong, singers like singer-composer Allen Su Xing and iMe’s Liu Meihan; Hunan TV hosts Sun Xiaoxiao and Wu Yang, as well as model/Bu Bu Jing Xin actress Liu Yuxin. A few professionals, like the one-legged Cui Xiaowei and acrobatic Bai Luchen are also in the cast.

The first episode featured fun dances like Super Mario  as well as beautiful ones like Madame Lady Snake and The King’s Speech. In the first three episodes, four males will be eliminated. The male-females will then be paired up to compete together in future rounds. For the first episode, groups of three were picked by the show. Vision Wei Chen for Disparate

From the honey-sweet “Aiyiya” to shameless ‘Shameless,” from rnb “Longing” to autotoned “Disparate,”  entertainment company eeMedia  seem to be trying to covering all grounds this summer with its countless releases. Here’s a sample of eeMedia’s new releases, with a highlight on self-compositions, which as Wang Yuexin said, is something that every eeMedia artist needs to fit in. Most of the songs are available for download either in the cfensi download section or maypay. Aiyiya and Longing are both available for purchase on yesasia.

I have Missing is the only ballad in Chinese-Korean- German-Thai girlband iMe’s debut EP Aiyiya, and it’s beautifully composed by member Liu Meihan. She also composed Always Liked in the EP.

Meteor Shower shows off Super Boys' composings

The Super Boys Musical airing on the 29th also features self-compositions by the boys.

The Super Boys Musical airing on the 29th also features self-compositions by the boys.

Other than exceeding almost everyone’s expectations in terms of acting, scenery and script, Meteor Shower’s other big plus is its music. The OST also shows off eemedia’s composing talents by featuring at least two (possibly four) insert songs composed by their very own Wei Chen and Lu Hu.

Wei Chen is the co-composer/co-producer of his official insert song – “Replacement lover.” Lu Hu wrote the background vocal, which Wei Chen also sung. He also has another insert song called “Rain Marks” that he composed himself that’s not in the official OST but at a little after 3 minutes in this trailer. Lu Hu composed Zhang Han’s insert song, for which he is also the background vocalist. And if this trailer is an indication of the insert songs in the drama, the song at around 13 minutes is called “that idiot is me.” That song is also composed by Lu Hu, with Wei Chen writing the lyrics.

Wei Chen and Lu Hu aren’t the only Super Boys releasing self-compositions recently. Allen Su Xing also released his present for the 60th birthday of the PRC, named China China:

Time to witness a miracle

“And now, it’s time to witness a miracle.”

With those words, Liu Qian aka Lu Chen ends his performance like he always does.  Liu Qian, China’s favorite magician, was one of the two performers  (the other one being Xiao Shenyang) that made their big break during this year’s CCTV New Year Gala. With his popularity came the rise of magic shows all across China.

The first of those is  Hunan TV’s jin pai mo shu tuan/Golden Magic Troupe. The show, hosted by Wang Han, invites amateur magicians to come and compete for a chance to apprentice one of the four judges – Liu Qian and three magicians from Hong Kong, Japan and Mexico. Think Super Girls/Boys for magicians.

Allen Su sings and composes the theme song, It’s the Magic. Download the MP3 here.
