Liu Shishi's pouting because she doesn't want to cry every other scene anymore.

If you had wished for incest in Chinese Paladin 3 because Hu Ge and Liu Shishi looked so cute together, their trip last month to Taiwan would make the fangirl (and boy) in everyone a squeal. Either that or you just really wanted to see Liu Shishi cry a lot.

For the airing of Chinese Paladin 3, Hu Ge, Liu Shishi( and Jerry Huang) promoted in Taiwan last month. Hu Ge and Liu Shishi went on two shows together, one of which involved them acting out various scenes between lovers and Liu Shishi crying about five times in one show. One particularly notable scene was the almost speechless interchange between the a pair of star-crossed lovers forced to separate due to family feuds. You can watch it cut here or the whole show here.

Both Hu Ge and Liu Shishi’s new dramas have recently came out. Hu Ge’s film remake of the time-traveling Jackie Chan film The Myth was very received and you can watch the whole series on youtube, thanks to MyChineseDrama. Liu Shishi’s “The aftermath of Madame Lady Snake” also came out, though she doesn’t appear until episode 3. Watch it here on MuNianCi’s channel.

Fusion Band

After being inactive for half a year, Fusion will be back with a second album. When asked why the long absence, their company said that they’ve been concentrating on their next album which is reaching the end stages of its production. Now they’ll be starting performances again to warm up for their new release.

This is probably the best music news in this batch, the rest are just sad ones about company matters.

News Roundup 6/8/09 – 6/19/09

We’re going to start a news roundup of all the little bits of news that we don’t have the energy, time, or motivation to make full posts on. I wanted to start one before, but my inherent laziness made it seem like a project doomed to failure; We’re going to try again anyway because now we’re finding it harder to have the energy to make those full posts.

These links were found mostly by idarklight ….which is how it usually goes on behind the scenes of Cfensi. Except for the obvious parts by me, like where I start to whine about lack of Wang Yuexin activities again. WYX…you’re turning me into a whiner.

Yu Siyuan and B.I.Z

Music:

Yu Siyuan and Biz are back with their new single Zhan Fang, which  is making airwaves across China. Unfortunately no link, but here are the lyrics.

Chinese Paladin 3 OST is out. Though the album is a disappointed to most who loved the first OST, Blue Bird Flying Fish may make their lucky break as their song, “Ci Sheng Bu Huan,” was a general favorite. Listent to the OST here.

Huang Yali‘s first MV under Taiwanese company Linfair is out. The former Super Girl is one of the latest to benefit from the lifted restrictions on mainland artists in Taiwan.

Also releasing albums recently: Gary Cao, Peggy Hsu, Phoenix Legend, Tan Weiwei, Jerry Yan, and Lollipop. And maybe some artists I’ve forgotten (Don’t hate me!). I’ve linked to youtube accounts where you can listen to the album for some artists.

Mayday‘s DNA MV for their DNA tour is out. Watch it here.

The producers behind the series based on the third installment of the Chinese Paladin RPG series have announced what’s to be expected on the soundtrack of the game, and packaging details for the “Gold Edition DVD”, which is going to be one of the best DVD sets ever. Seriously. Also released was the ending theme, sung by Hu Ge. I am now 10 x more excited for this series than I was before.
