After participating in Super Girls at the age of 16, Huang Yali has been continuously changing styles in her various albums. Her new album proves to be her best so far.

Finally joining her shijie’s Fan Fan, Angela Zhang and Claire Kuo, 21 -year-old Huang Yali released a new album that shows off her clear voice that seems to be signature of Linfair artists.

The new album include five songs composed by Wang Yajun, Linfair’s top songwriter who is best known for writing Angela Zhang’s Invisible Wings 隱形的翅膀. Of the five, 你离开我的种种/The reasons why you left me is penned by Jay Chou’s lyricist Fang Wenshan. The rest, with lyrics by Wang Yajun, are, Same City 同城, 善良Kindness, Owl calling for love 猫头鹰呼叫爱情, and Outdated Trip 过期的旅行. The album further include “want you to smile,” composed by JJ Lin. You can listen to the entire album on Baidu here and buy it on YesAsia here

Claire Kuo and Huang Yaliprove their friendship by having the same haircut.

Composed by JJ Lin and penned by Claire Kuo, “Wants you to smile” is a sweet and cute song fitting for Huang Yali. The recently released MV features Claire Kuo and Huang Yali entertaining passerbys with their Friendship Puppet Theater. “Wants you to smile” is the first released MV for Huang Yali’s second album with Linfair Records – “Ex-girlfriend 前任女友.” The new album does a so much better job of showing off her clear and youthful voice than that of her previous one. Although all the tracks are really good, my favoite is “Same city 同城,” which was by the composer of Angela Zhang’s Invisible Wings.

News Roundup 7/2/09 – 7/11/09

This is a really big post, so check it out !

Chen Kun and Yuan Quan sponsor a jewelry brand in style at an event, with Yuan Quan in white riding a horse, and Chen Kun giving her a ring, like a modern day prince and princess, except that pretending to  marry was really awkward for them. Normally I wouldn’t care, but it’s two actors that I like, both of which whom actually have really nice singing voices and I’ve long wished they would collaborate in something like a musical. They will be working together, but instead will be in a HK film.

News Roundup 6/8/09 – 6/19/09

We’re going to start a news roundup of all the little bits of news that we don’t have the energy, time, or motivation to make full posts on. I wanted to start one before, but my inherent laziness made it seem like a project doomed to failure; We’re going to try again anyway because now we’re finding it harder to have the energy to make those full posts.

These links were found mostly by idarklight ….which is how it usually goes on behind the scenes of Cfensi. Except for the obvious parts by me, like where I start to whine about lack of Wang Yuexin activities again. WYX…you’re turning me into a whiner.

Yu Siyuan and B.I.Z

Music:

Yu Siyuan and Biz are back with their new single Zhan Fang, which  is making airwaves across China. Unfortunately no link, but here are the lyrics.

Chinese Paladin 3 OST is out. Though the album is a disappointed to most who loved the first OST, Blue Bird Flying Fish may make their lucky break as their song, “Ci Sheng Bu Huan,” was a general favorite. Listent to the OST here.

Huang Yali‘s first MV under Taiwanese company Linfair is out. The former Super Girl is one of the latest to benefit from the lifted restrictions on mainland artists in Taiwan.

Also releasing albums recently: Gary Cao, Peggy Hsu, Phoenix Legend, Tan Weiwei, Jerry Yan, and Lollipop. And maybe some artists I’ve forgotten (Don’t hate me!). I’ve linked to youtube accounts where you can listen to the album for some artists.

Mayday‘s DNA MV for their DNA tour is out. Watch it here.

Taiwan Lifts Its Restrictions on Mainland Entertainers

Anson Hu a month ago became an exception to Taiwan's rule that no mainlanders could give solo concerts in Taiwan...now he'll be one of the many.

The company that brought Na Ying and Faye Wong to fame is ready to present it’s newest mainland superstar – Huang Yali, an energetic 19-year-old. Taiwanese companies have recently been increasingly signing on mainlanders, from rock bands such as Fusion and AOK to pop stars like Jade Liu. This is probably in light of the fact that after Taiwan’s changed presidents this past year, things have begun changing with respect to Mainland-Taiwan relations, including a suggested lifting of restrictions on mainland artists activities in Taiwan.

This finally became reality recently:
