Xie Na and Zhang Jie finally wed in a place close to heaven
After years of being one of our favorite couples, singer Zhang Jie and host Xie Na finally married today in Shangri-la in Yunnan Province. The wedding was hosted by friend He Jiong, and in attendance were Xiao Shen Yang, Happy Camp hosts, eeMedia head Long Danni, Alec Su, Nicky Wu, etc.
Set in the closest place in heaven, the wedding featured an all-vegetarian meal with names that are puns of Zhang Jie and Xie Na’s. So far, it seems like his entire album is dedicated to their love – from Closest place to heaven to First Lady to Fall Fairytale.

Despite little promotions, Legend of the Rabbit Hero is already beating major film Wuxia (Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tang Wei's) in daytime sales
Inarguably one of the weakest sections of the Chinese film industry, the animation department seems to be picking up ground along with the rest of the industry. This summer, three animated features are lined up for releases. Already, Rabbit Hero has become the third Chinese animation to exceed a million yuan in box office sales.
The Legend of the Rabbit Hero 兔侠传奇 has obvious American influences, while Kuiba 魁拔 shows Japanese influence. Nevertheless, the two animations both show major improvements in animation and are a good start. No one accused of Anastasia for copying Disney, so please don’t bash these films. If these series succeeds, hopefully this will spur on more investment in animation and allow for a larger growth in animations in China.

After iMe and Zhang Jie attended the Mamas, the president of Korean company CJ Corporation and an important person from Mnet personally met them, and formally invited them to continue developing toward Korea. The CJ Corp president also expressed that Zhang Jie and i Me’s performances were very good, and would definitely be very popular in Korea. One Mnet representative stated, “I think iMe has already reached the level of Asian artists. When are you coming to Korea? We will definitely fully support you!”
After hearing this, i Me was humbled and overwhelmed, and hoped that their new album next year definitely wouldn’t let anyone down and that they would double their efforts. After they got the award, iMe stated, “This is the second time we’ve gotten an award, in six months after our debut, and it’s also one that represents music in all of Asia. This makes all five of us girls very excited. The five of us are from three different countries, and have come together because of our common musical dreams. Every artist in today’s award ceremony is a role model to us. We will double our efforts in order to pay back those people who support and cherish us.”
Although their careers haven’t been very long, i Me’s maturity is obvious to all. Backstage, i Me didn’t forget to take this chance to learn, and asked for advice from groups like Big Bang, 2NE1, 2PM, etc. After learning that there were two Chinese members in Miss A, iMe specially encouraged them to jiayou.
The recognition received must be especially gratifying to iMe’s Korean member, Haley Xuan Jing (Shim Hyun Kyung) , who had trained in Korea jn SM entertainment for a long time previous to joining iMe. You can see her as a young girl being adorable in this video, rapping with Heechul from Super Junior.

Following Rain last year, singer Zhang Jie was named the Best Asian Artist by Korea’s Mnet Asian Music Awards. His performance at the awards wow’ed many audiences, and searches for his name rose quickly on Korean search engine Naver. Despite MAMA not being more Korean than Asian, the award is a nice nod to the singer, whose well earned widespread popularity in mainland has yet to spread internationally. In addition to just finishing a concert, Zhang Jie recently released his latest, much anticipated album, “It’s Love/这,就是爱.” You can download it on Maypay here, and after you realize how pretty it is, but it from Yesasia here. His juniors in eeMedia, his shimei, the multinational girlband iMe, who debuted this past summer with Aiiya was also named the best new artist, encouraging their growth as artists.
Despite being busy with his concert preparation, promoting his new album, and attending events like MAMA, he still managed to make time for the most important things to him, his friends. He went to Shanghai before heading to the Zhuhai/Macau area for MAMA, to visit his friend and shidiYu Haoming at Ruijin Hospital waiting at the acute care center for a very long time. However, he wasn’t allowed to go into Yu Haoming’s room, and staff could only pass on his hopes for Yu Haoming to get better.

Xie Na and Zhang Jie hugs as Zhou Bichang looks on flabbergasted...if only she came
After about three years of rumors, two years of dueting together as couples, Zhang Jie and Xie Na finally announced their relationship officially on the Hunan TV – Baidu Search Awards. Read more of their love story here.
In the 80′s, I’ve always thought an idol must be very very handsome, like Jimmy Lin, but then I realized that an idol is an example that one can follow. I’m happy to have such an honor, and thank everyone. I think I’m very lucky, I’ve released a lot of music works; I have my family, my friends, my colleagues, and the support my friends gave me, and I have my self, who can take care of Nana. I want to tell everyone: “We’re together, very happily.” Thank you for your blessings, and happy new year everyone. Thanks.

Zhang Jie released his album two days ago with friend, but much less active singer, Wang Yuexin helping by giving him traditional Chinese winter snack, Bing TangHulu to eat. Zhang Jie sang his second track live, a day later at Hunan TV’s “Trend Night”, paired with sand drawing. Both his voice and the art were beautiful.

Along with H4&Xun, Xu Fei also went to Changsha to advertise for Meteor Shower, including the fanmeeting and Happy Camp. She sings the ending theme song, which will be her upcoming EP. Watch it here. Also recently released are Zhang Jie’s MV for “Overheard” , Yu Haoming and Zheng Shuang’s Meteor Shower/Qing Hua Tong Fang iMini MV, and part of the Super Girls 2009 MV. The first has a good song and a good MV; the second has a cute MV, a sweet song, but unfit voices; the third had everything except someone who could mix the girl’s voices together.
