Even before winning the top spot, and 5 million yuan scholarship award from popular show “Migu Star Institute”, MIC had risen up to become a top-ranked idol group with all-rounded talent aspects and high popularity. Although they have yet to officially debut, these boys’ charisma and endless potential have received praises from many medias and fans. Now after enduring the training, and having proven themselves on Migu, their fans have exceeded 700,000 within a month of the establishment of their official Baidu Tieba. Their company Tai Rye, promises if everything goes smoothly, that MICrophones can hear the first single as early May, with different styles and innovative choreography. Having already secured an endorsement for LG’s Lollipop, MIC is receiving other many offers since winning Migu. Many magazines like Easy and MILK have already expressed an interest in the band, and it is likely that MICrophones can see their idols again soon.

no idea..perhaps soon, considering that they're releasing stuff.

anyone know what that is? I'm a bit confused considering that gui gui from taiwan is a host on the show
and also the duo AK is on the show..but they're both artists from taiwan already.

Lol...it's funny that a not yet debuted group has one of the most active threads. Please remember when you make a thread to list it in the index! Nevertheless I seriously hope Tai Rye really pushes them out there, and organizes their scheduling well. I don't want them to go through the same "in-limbo" stuff A-One had.

I think the interest in them came mostly from the lollipop commercial

Oh they were performing at the World Cyber Games held in Cheng Du! The olympic game of e-sport, there must have been a lot of foreigners! Especially Korean, since they lead in e-sport :roll:

I am sooo addicted to their song Yao Ming de Fan Nao (Great Troubles, roughly translated). I listen to it about 5 times a day. I'm gonna buy their album if they release one anytime soon. I desperately want more of their songs, i'm gonna go and learn their names now...

I'm really looking forward to this groups debut, so far it seems like it got almost just positive comments compared to the other boy bands which came lately. This group seems also like the most confident group when performing, they are great dancers, their live singing is much better compared to Top Combine or Hit-5, which are quite popular. Plus they are ''manly'' good looking, not just ''pretty boy'' pretty, which is getting quite boring. The groups individuals seems quite unique and colorful too from these few videos I've seen....

M.I.C gives me also a different feeling than the other groups, their style is sort of uh more american, European-ish, while Top Compine is very Kpop-ish and Hit-5 is for me a mix between Kpop an Taiwanese boy band.

Btw, is it just me or does the youngest member, Cui Lu Jia kind of look like Yang Fan from Hit-5, just uhm maybe a ''healthier'' version?

What is the show in the last video? I don't think it's taiwanese cause one of the MC is definitly a mainlander... or maybe he jump in a taiwan show? Is it the same thing as superboys / supergirls? @_@...

From what I've heard their singing skills are ok, not bad but not extraordinary. The leader seems to sing the best.

The video Mr Peng posted is a mainland show - 咪咕明星学院 that is airing on Dragon TV (ie the Shanghai channel). It has a lot of people that are already signed by companies, but aren't really famous yet, or undebuted.

To be honest...I think Taiwan's restrictions on mainlander promotions are still too stringent for them to go on a show there. Li Yuchun hasn't even promoted in Taiwan.

Thats true, their singing is just ok. The leader is the one doing the dirty job lol. He' s got skills, but not a special voice. I have a hard time recognize the members voices too, unlike Top Combine and Hit-5 who's got quite distinctive voices.
