Wow, so much for trying to cast someone new. I even remember the forms hunantv posted online and the requirements they had for the second female (like how she had to be better than Zheng Shuang in every way, from looks to intelligence). IMO, TanLiNa just doesn't fit the image.

I sort of really like how she looks, at least for this role so not complaining. Which is strange bc I never really thought she was impressive in Supergirls, but that's because she's not a very good singer. But as second lead in an Asian idol series? yes. Here's hoping she can act though.

and actually since i watch hte other version i dont' know i think it will be nice to just have duanmu alone if it's not zheng shaung character i think it due to the other version i watch and yeah i know MS is different from the other version but it's like duanmu is meant to be alone if it's nto w/ the main character and just like forever protect her or somehting but since MS is differnet from other version i don't know how it will play out

I don't really mind if Tan Lina is the second lead. She is pretty and I like the fact that she is half breed. It's cool! And she is so cute on the gif haha.
I hope she has good basic acting skill though, but Wei Chen and Yu Haoming too were from a hunan singing contest and have done well.

I don't see her with Duanmu... If they were going to match her character with him, why don't they choose Liu xijun, it would have done much more chemistry! I think she is just the 3rd between Yunhai and Yuxun.

I would not normally post in here again, but Wang Yuexin who is my ultimate bias has been cast in Season 2 as a classmate. I'm not sure if others have had the feeling of really liking a particular celeb's voice, much much more so than others, but not being able to hear it for a long time. But for me, this is perhaps the first definite indication that his company puts him in somewhat of an important light, and will in fact let him release an album. So posting here....for season two, I'm going to be Team Wang Yuexin all the way. Please let this guy get a song on the new soundtrack. PLEASE. The last song he released was a self-composed single for a show relating to the Beijing Paraolympics. It's been too long.

Wow. I'm not saying the stylists for season 1 was horrible or anything, but woooooooow.... everything looks so much more improved and shiny and pretty. I really like it.

I'm a bit wary on Tan Lina though, I've never really seen her acting skills. And I hope she doesn't gain haters, although I have a bad feeling she might for playing the "other girl".

But what I'm looking forwards most right now is the new soundtrack. I absolutely cannot wait! Another one of the many reasons I can't wait for summer to be here.

And the pictures are sooooo gorgeous. Where are they filming? Is it still in Xiamen?
